The Campbell-Staton Group

The Campbell-Staton Group is a unique brand inspired by street art, comic books, and evolution. Dr. Shane Campbell-Staton needed a website and logo that reflected the exciting and vibrant research his lab was working on. I was tasked with designing a lab logo, project logos, research vehicle decals for the group’s trip to Africa, and graphics for a TedTalk.

Dr. Shane Campbell-Staton

I had the privilege of designing the visual identity for Dr. Shane Campbell-Staton, including his personal logo, project logos, and business cards. Inspired by the dynamic aesthetics of comic books, graffiti, and the bold, kinetic style of Into the Spider-Verse, the branding captures the energy and groundbreaking nature of his work.

The designs reflect Dr. Campbell-Staton’s mission to explore how human activity drives evolutionary change, from urbanization to climate impacts. Featured prominently across platforms—including his TED Talk, research vehicle in Africa, and website—the visuals serve as a striking complement to his diverse and impactful research.

Each design embodies the vibrant and innovative spirit of his work, blending science and storytelling to inspire curiosity and action. Whether studying gene expression, animal performance, or the future of biodiversity, Dr. Campbell-Staton’s brand amplifies his voice as a scientist shaping the narrative of life in a human-dominated world.
